Firmware Version 1.0
May 2016
First final version.
Installation
The player’s logic and functionalities are defined by an internal program called firmware. This program may evolve to add new features, modify the player’s operation, or provide fixes. The firmware can be updated or replaced by performing the following steps:
- Download the firmware from our website: Internet.
- Ensure the SD card is formatted in FAT32 (USB drives are not supported).
- Copy the CHRONO.bin file to the root of the SD card.
- Eject the SD card using your operating system’s ejection process.
- Power off the player.
- Insert the SD card into the player and power it on. Do not remove the SD card or turn off the player until the installation is complete. Wait for the player to fully restart.
- The firmware update is complete. Turn off the player and remove the SD card.
Note: The firmware update must be performed using an SD memory card. Firmware updates are not supported via the player’s USB port (USB drive).
Known Issues
The read and write speed of USB drives is slower than that of SD/SDHC cards. If there are many audio files, this can cause significant slowdowns during player startup.
In this case, it is recommended to use an SD/SDHC card instead of a USB drive.
