Installation

The logic and features of the player are defined by an internal program called firmware. This program may evolve to add new features, modify the player's operation, or provide fixes. The firmware can be updated or replaced by performing the following operations:

  1. Download the firmware.
  2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file.
  3. Copy the extracted ap4xx-update.swu file to the root of a USB drive formatted in FAT32 or exFAT.
  4. Remove the USB drive using the operating system's ejection process.
  5. Insert the USB drive into one of the player's available USB ports.
  6. Connect to the player's web administration interface and go to the System section of the main configuration page.
  7. Start the firmware update by clicking the Update button. Do not remove the USB drive or turn off the player until the installation operation is complete. Wait for the player to fully restart.
  8. Once the player has fully restarted, the firmware installation is complete, and the USB drive used can be removed.

The installed firmware version can be checked in the About page of the player's web administration interface.

Note: To use another firmware installation method, refer to the product user guide.
