CE Marking
The CE marking is located on the nameplate at the back of the device. It certifies that the device complies with the Low Voltage Directive under European Standard EN 55022, as well as the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 61000-4-x.
General Information
The user manual is an integral part of the product. It must always be kept in the immediate vicinity of the device. Correct and intended use of the product requires strict adherence to the instructions contained in this manual.
In the event of resale, the user manual must be passed on to the new owner. Personnel must receive instructions regarding the correct use of the device.
Only the use of original parts guarantees perfect safety for the user and correct operation of the device. Furthermore, only accessories mentioned in the technical documentation or explicitly approved by the manufacturer should be used. If accessories or consumables from other brands are used, the manufacturer cannot guarantee correct and safe operation.
Damage caused by the use of accessories or consumables from other brands is not covered under the warranty.
The manufacturer is only responsible for the safety, reliability, and functionality of the product if assembly, adjustments, modifications, extensions, and repairs have been carried out by the manufacturer or an authorized company, and if the device is used in accordance with the instructions in this manual.
The player complies with the technical safety standards in force at the time of printing.
General Safety Instructions
This device left our facilities in perfect working condition. To maintain these conditions, ensure safety, and avoid any risk of personal injury, the user must strictly follow the safety instructions and read the "Warning!" messages included in this manual.
This device, manufactured by Waves System, is designed to practically exclude any risk when used as intended.
Proper Use
Use the device in compliance with local laws and regulations. Any modification or alteration of the device automatically voids certification. Putting modified devices into service is punishable by law. For workplace safety, the operator and user are responsible for compliance with regulations.
Keep the original packaging for possible return shipment of the product. Also, ensure it is kept out of reach of children. Only this original packaging guarantees optimal protection of the product during transport. If the product needs to be returned during the warranty period, Waves System is not liable for damage caused during transport due to defective packaging.
This device is designed for audio and video file playback. It should only be used by persons whose training or knowledge ensures proper handling.
Before each use, the user must verify that the device is in perfect working condition.
This product must not be used in areas where there is a risk of explosion. Additionally, the device must not be used in atmospheres that promote combustion or in humid, excessively hot, or cold locations.
Usage Conditions

Storage temperature: 0°C to +60°C
This product is intended for indoor use only.
The device must be mounted at a height no higher than 2 meters from the floor.
If the device is exposed to significant temperature fluctuations (e.g., after transport), do not plug it in immediately. Condensation forming inside the device could damage it. Allow the device to reach room temperature before plugging it in.
Do not shake the device; avoid sudden movements during installation or handling.
When choosing the installation location for the player, ensure it is not exposed to significant sources of heat, moisture, or dust. No cables should be left lying on the floor, as this could endanger your safety and that of others.
Electrical Safety Instructions
The power supply must be connected to a grounded outlet or a European outlet installed according to regulations.
Primary power disconnection device: The power plug serves as the primary power disconnection device. It must be easily accessible.
Power supply voltage: 12V DC - 3.45 A
Before plugging in the device, verify that the voltage and frequency indicated on the device match those of the power grid.
Before use, check that the device and cables are not damaged. Damaged cables and connections must be replaced immediately.
Never allow power cords to come into contact with other cables. Handle the power cord and all mains-connected cables with extreme care.
Always plug in the power plug last. Ensure the on/off switch is in the "off" position before connecting the device to the power supply. The power outlet must remain accessible after installation.
Periodically check the device and its power cord. Unplug from the power grid when the device is not in use or during maintenance.
Handle the power cord only by the plug. Never remove the plug by pulling on the power cord.
Electrical connections, repairs, and maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Do not turn the device on and off in a very short period, as this could reduce the device's lifespan.

Physical Installation
Preparation
Before any intervention, unplug the power cable. Ensure the device is powered off before starting installation or any handling.
Choosing the Location
Place the player on a flat, stable, and well-ventilated surface. Avoid locations exposed to direct sunlight, vibrations, or excessive heat sources.
If the player is to be integrated into a cabinet or rack, ensure there is sufficient space (at least 10 cm on each side) to allow proper air circulation.
Securing the Player
Use the mounting holes located at the rear or sides of the device for a fixed installation. Ensure the mounting is strong and secure to prevent the device from falling or moving.
Connecting the Cables
Start by connecting the video cables (HDMI) and audio cables (RCA or HDMI) as needed.
Next, connect the control cables (RS-232, TCP/IP) if necessary.
Finally, plug in the power cable and turn on the device.
Ensure all cables are properly connected and that the connectors are not loose before powering on the device.
Final Checks
Before putting the player into service, perform a visual inspection to ensure that:
All cables are properly connected and secured.
The device is stable and well-ventilated.
There are no obstructions blocking the ventilation openings or connection ports.
Then, turn on the device and check that the power indicator light turns on, indicating that the player is powered.
