The Micro AMP 2 mkII includes a speaker amplifier and a headphone amplifier, each with its own volume control.
Before connecting the unit
- Install the unit in a dry, dust-free room, indoors or in an environment protected from moisture. Do not install it directly against a wall.
- Avoid major heat sources, excessively hot or cold locations, combustion-supporting atmospheres and areas with an explosion risk.
- After significant temperature changes, particularly after transport, allow the unit to reach room temperature before connecting it to prevent damage from condensation.
- Before use, check the condition of the unit, cables and connections. Have damaged components replaced immediately.
- Check that the mains voltage and frequency match the power supply specifications.
- Connect the mains plug last and keep it accessible after installation.
- Disconnect the power supply before any intervention or maintenance. Also disconnect the unit when it is no longer in use.
- Unplug by holding the plug, without pulling on the cable. Avoid leaving cables trailing across the floor.
- Avoid shocks, rough handling and rapidly switching the unit on and off.
- Electrical connections, repairs and maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel.
- Use original parts and accessories.

Connect the unit
- Connect the stereo audio source to the RCA line-level input.
- Connect the speakers to the speaker output terminal blocks, following the markings on the unit.
- Connect headphones to the 3.5 mm output if required.
- Connect the 12 V DC power supply.
- Adjust speaker and headphone volume separately using the front-panel controls.

The speaker and headphone outputs allow you to listen to the same signal, with a separate volume control for each output.
If you use a regulated, filtered power supply or a battery, choose 12 V DC. The DC connector is 2.1 mm / 5.5 mm, centre-positive.
