Micro AMP 1 and Micro AMP 2 mkII technical specifications

The Micro AMP 1 and Micro AMP 2 mkII provide an amplified speaker output and a headphone output. The Micro AMP 1 adds a line-level output, audio processing, and switching between two volume levels through an input contact or RS-232.

Connections shared by both models

  • Unbalanced stereo 0 dBu line-level audio input on RCA connectors.
  • Amplified stereo speaker output on removable terminal blocks.
  • Stereo headphone output on a 3.5 mm jack.
  • External DC power connector: 2.1 mm / 5.5 mm.
  • Power indication.

Micro AMP 1: additional connections and controls

  • Unbalanced stereo 0 dBu line-level audio output on RCA connectors, after audio processing.
  • Optocoupled input contact on a 3.81 mm removable terminal block.
  • RS-232 connection and power output on a removable terminal block; baud rates of 4,800, 9,600 or 19,200.
  • The input contact terminal block also includes a power output.
  • Front-panel clickable knob and indicators for selecting and changing settings.
  • Class D amplified stereo speaker output.
  • Stereo headphone output on a 3.5 mm TRS jack.
  • Separate headphone volume knob.

Both models have a nominal supply voltage of 12 V DC and reverse polarity protection.

Micro AMP 1

  • Consumption at 12 V and maximum listening level: up to 3 A.
  • Standby consumption: less than 150 mA.

Micro AMP 2 mkII

  • Supply range : 10 to 14.4 V.
  • Recommended voltage when using a regulated, filtered power supply or a battery: 12 V DC.
  • Power connector: centre-positive.
  • Consumption at 12 V and maximum listening level: up to 3 A.
  • Idle consumption with the input level at zero: less than 60 mA, less than 150 mA in standby.
