Getting Started and General Workflow - Show Control Editor

Modified on Thu, 3 Sep at 2:53 PM

The Show Control Editor allows you to create event broadcasting projects for compatible Waves System players in the most user-friendly and simple way possible. Before starting programming, ensure you have all the necessary elements for this operation and that your hardware and software are properly configured.

Software and Hardware Configuration

Transferring Programs to the Player

Programs created with Waves System Show Control software are saved as a file. This file will then be copied to the media used by the player. Depending on the player model, you can use:

  • USB connection,
  • copying to the media itself (USB drive, SD card, hard drive...),
  • Ethernet connection,
  • transfer via CD/DVD.

Software Configuration

Waves System Show Control software does not require any special configuration. Upon launch, the software is ready to use.

Project Creation Principle

Objective: Define the behavior of the Waves System player (play an audio file and synchronize the management of external equipment).

The principle involves creating DMX event tracks or output contact tracks, then placing events based on time.

Creation phases:

  1. Create a new project.
  2. Open the project’s audio file to place it on the timeline.
  3. Display the Patch DMX device and define the DMX channels used in the grid.
  4. Place the various events in the tracks.
  5. Save the file and transfer it to the player’s media (USB drive, SD card, hard drive...).
