Keyboard shortcuts - Show Control Editor

The following keyboard shortcuts provide quick access to the main Show Control Editor functions.

File

  • Ctrl + N: New project
  • Ctrl + O: Open a project file
  • Ctrl + S: Save project
  • Ctrl + Shift + S: Save project as…
  • Ctrl + B: Create an SC2 file for Event Player (mkII)
  • Ctrl + Shift + B: Create an SC3 file for Event Video Player
  • Ctrl + Q: Quit

Edit

  • Ctrl + Z: Undo
  • Ctrl + Y: Redo
  • Ctrl + Shift + N: Add/remove DMX tracks
  • Ctrl + E: Add an event at the cursor position
  • Ctrl + Shift + E: Add an event at the selection position
  • Delete: Delete
  • Ctrl + X: Cut selection
  • Ctrl + C: Copy selection
  • Ctrl + V: Paste at the selected position
  • Ctrl + Shift + V: Paste at the cursor position
  • Ctrl + A: Select all project tracks
  • Ctrl + Shift + A: Deselect all project tracks
  • Ctrl + Page Up: Maximum value
  • Ctrl + Page Down: Minimum value
  • Ctrl + P: Change progression type
  • Ctrl + +: Zoom in
  • Ctrl + -: Zoom out
  • Ctrl + Shift + +: Expand all tracks
  • Ctrl + Alt + +: Expand selected track
  • Ctrl + Shift + -: Collapse all tracks
  • Ctrl + Alt + -: Collapse selected track

Playback

  • Space / Ctrl + Space: Play
  • Ctrl + Shift + Space: Play from beginning
  • Ctrl + Space: Pause
  • Space: Stop
  • Ctrl + Home: Go to the beginning of the project
  • Ctrl + End: Go to the end of the project
  • Ctrl + Backspace: Go to the cursor position

Display and options

  • Alt + 1: Show or hide the output contacts track
  • Alt + 2: Show or hide the serial communication track
  • Alt + 3: Show or hide the event properties section
  • Alt + 4: Show or hide the audio file name on the audio track
  • Alt + 5: Show or hide the time ruler on the audio track
  • Alt + 6: Show or hide DMX track labels
  • Alt + 7: Enable or disable automatic event hiding
  • Alt + T: Enable or disable automatic cursor tracking
  • Alt + H: Enable or disable Undo/Redo functions
  • Ctrl + R: Enable or disable real-time DMX preview

DMX Patch

  • Delete: Delete the selected DMX device (track) from the DMX channel assignment area
