My WAV file, created using Pro Tools, produces an unwanted noise every time it loops.

Are you experiencing an unwanted noise when looping your WAV files on the Nano Player Box? This issue is often linked to the metadata present in Broadcast WAV files. Here’s how to resolve it.

Explanation and solution

WAV files created using Pro Tools or certain audio editing programmes are not standard WAV files. They contain additional metadata which is interpreted as audio data by the player, thereby causing an unwanted noise at the start of playback.

To resolve this issue, you need to remove this metadata so that only the relevant audio information remains. If you do not have professional audio editing software, you can use the free Audacity programme (available on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux) to create an exact copy of your file.
