Introduction
The My Music Player and My Music Player LE require a main storage device, called Main Media, to operate. Neither player can function without Main Media. It stores audio files, playlists, configuration files and schedules.
Files and folders must follow a specific structure on Main Media. Each folder has a defined purpose:
- MUSIC: folders containing background music files.
- PLAYLIST: folders containing playlist files.
- SPOT: folders containing messages and announcements.
- SYSTEM: a folder containing schedules and advanced configuration files.
- TMP: a playback history folder generated by the player for its operation.
Music folders (MUSIC)
Purpose
These folders store background music.
Supported file formats
WAV, MP3 and encrypted MP3.
Playback behavior
MUSIC folders are designed for playing large collections of audio files. The contents of each folder play in a loop, in either random or sequential order.
By default, when returning to a folder, playback resumes according to the history of previously played tracks to avoid unwanted repetition. An option is available to reset the playback history.
- Sequential mode:files play in alphanumeric order according to their names.
- Without a playback history reset, playback resumes at the position previously reached in the folder.
- With a playback history reset, playback starts from the first file in the folder.
- Random mode: no file repeats until all files in the folder have played. When returning to a folder, the playback history is either retained or reset, depending on whether the reset option is enabled.
Playlist folders (PLAYLIST)
Purpose
These folders are used to play playlist files.
Supported file formats
M3U.
Playback behavior
PLAYLIST folders are used for playlist playback. The contents of each folder play in a loop, in either random or sequential order.
By default, when returning to a folder, playback resumes according to the history of previously played tracks to avoid unwanted repetition. An option is available to reset the playback history.
- Sequential mode:files play in the order defined in each playlist.
- Without a playback history reset, playback resumes at the position previously reached in the playlist.
- With a playback history reset, playback starts from the first file in the first playlist in the folder.
- Random mode: no file repeats until all files in each playlist have played. When returning to a folder, the playback history is either retained or reset, depending on whether the reset option is enabled.
Message and announcement folders (SPOT)
Purpose
These folders are used to play messages and announcements.
Supported file formats
WAV, MP3 and encrypted MP3.
Playback behavior
SPOT folders are used for immediate playback of one or more audio files. Playback interrupts the current program, plays the messages, then returns to the original program.
Four playback modes are available:
- Play all files in the folder:
- In random order.
- In sequential order.
- Play a specified number of files from the folder:
- In random order.
- In sequential order.
Played files are recorded in the playback history to avoid repetition. The player will not play a file again until all files in the folder have played.
System folder (SYSTEM)
Purpose
This folder stores schedules and advanced configuration files.
Supported file formats
TM3, INI, TXT and ZIP.
Behavior
The SYSTEM folder is reserved for files other than audio files and playlists. It stores the schedule file, a temporary advanced configuration file and various activity logs generated by the player.
Temporary folder (TMP)
Purpose
This folder is generated by the player to store playback history.
Behavior
The temporary folder (tmp) is automatically created when playback first starts. It stores playback history files so that the player can remember which audio files have already played.
You do not need to manage this folder. However, you can manually delete the tmp folder to clear the playback history. It will be automatically recreated the next time playback starts.
