No Sound on Any Output
- Check the power supply: The NanoPlayer Box does not have a power switch. If the LED is off, the player is either in standby or not powered. Ensure the power cable is properly connected and the voltage is between 10V and 15V DC.
- Check the SD card: If the LED is blinking slowly, the player is in error mode. Ensure the SD card is present, correctly inserted, and contains valid audio files.
- Check the output wiring: Ensure the cable is correctly connected to the used output (line, amplified, or headphone). The volume has 32 levels — ensure it is not set to the minimum.
Poor or Distorted Sound Quality
Most likely cause: insufficient power supply for the required power.
| Usage | Minimum Required Power Supply |
|---|---|
| Line output only | 500 mA / 6W |
| Amplified output at full power | 2A / 24W |
An undersized power supply causes significant audio degradation and overheating, which can lead to failure. Check the power of the power supply used.
Files Are Not Played in the Expected Order
The playback mode depends on the letter used in the folder name:
- R (Random): Random playback — order is not guaranteed.
- S (Sequential): Sequential playback — files must be named with 3 digits (e.g.,
001.mp3,002.mp3, etc.).
If numbered and unnumbered files coexist in the same folder in sequential mode, only the numbered files will be played.
Some Files Are Not Played
Check the following points:
- Supported formats are MP3 (32 to 128 kbit/s, 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, CBR, and VBR) and WAV (stereo, 44.1 kHz, 16-bit). The Broadcast WAV format is not supported.
- The card can contain a maximum of 999 files.
- In sequential mode, files without numbering are not played.
