The Cube speaker features an integrated external amplifier. For sound reinforcement applications—such as in museums or auditoriums—it can be connected to an existing audio system using two topologies.
Connection Topologies
Via Digital Audio Processor
Audio signals from a mixing console are processed by a digital audio processor, then sent directly to the Cube’s amplifier.
Via Audio Distributor
Signals from the mixing console pass through an audio distributor, which routes the signal to multiple Cube units simultaneously.
These two topologies are illustrated in the diagram below:
| Source | Intermediate Link | Destination |
|---|---|---|
| Mixing console | Digital audio processor | Cube |
| Mixing console | Audio distributor | Cube (x multiple) |
Microphone Constraints
Microphones cannot be connected directly to the Cube’s amplifier. First, operating voltages vary by model and may exceed the amplifier’s acceptable range. Second, differences in noise levels in microphone output signals are incompatible with a direct connection.
