The EventPlayer mkII is an audio and DMX file player featuring Show Control functionality.
Files are stored on a MicroSD memory card or a USB flash drive/external hard drive. The player can play files autonomously, according to a schedule, or in response to external events.
The Show Control function allows commands to be sent to the 8 output contacts and programmed values to the DMX output, all synchronized with audio playback.
The EventPlayer mkII is suitable for a wide range of sound and lighting applications, including events, architectural lighting and monument enhancement, and the automation of audio and equipment in various environments such as museums, exhibitions, shop windows, theme parks, tourist attractions, and more.
Main Features
Interactivity: The EventPlayer mkII is an interactive player that responds to various events:
- Playback behavior defined by file names.
- Electrical contacts: 8 inputs that can be combined to provide up to 255 input combinations for triggering files using sensors, push buttons, relays, etc.
- Commands via an RS232 serial connection. A simple protocol is used to send commands to the player.
- Commands via a web page over an Ethernet connection.
- Scheduled playback. Using its internal clock, the player plays files according to a schedule created with the "Scheduler" software.
- A built-in infrared sensor, which can also be positioned remotely, allows the player to be controlled using a remote control.
Show Control: The player can play audio files, event files, or both simultaneously in synchronization. Event files contain commands sent to the various outputs:
- Sending DMX data to dimmers, LED fixtures, moving head lights, etc.
- 8 output contacts that can activate relays, motors, lamps, etc.
Programming is carried out on a computer using the "Show Control Editor" software. The events created are then copied to the storage media to be played alongside the audio files.
Autoplay Function: The EventPlayer mkII features an "Autoplay" function. When powered on, the player can automatically play one or more files. This function can be configured or disabled.
Playback Behavior: Files stored on the storage media are organized and named using parameters that define playback behavior, providing great flexibility and virtually unlimited possibilities for creating playback scenarios.
Auxiliary Input: The player features an auxiliary audio input that can be switched through triggers or scheduled commands. The player can therefore operate as a message playback system integrated into an existing sound system.
RS232 Serial Connection: The EventPlayer mkII can be controlled by a programmable controller, a computer, or a remote control using a serial connection.
Ethernet Connection: The player can be controlled over an Ethernet network (HTML web server), and the media content can be updated via FTP.
