First Connection

To access the player's web interface, please refer to the section Connecting to the Network.

1. Enter your new password and confirm it a second time before clicking Login.
2. The player's dashboard page, My Player, appears.
3. Click Login in the top right corner of the page.
4. On the login page, enter the username admin, followed by your password, and click the Login button.

Your AP420 player is now ready to be programmed.

Connecting the AP420 Player to a DHCP Network

The DHCP connection allows the AP420 player to automatically receive an IP address from the local network server.

1. Note the serial number on the label located at the bottom of the player. It is labeled as AP4xx-123456.
2. Connect the player to the network.
3. Connect your computer to the same network.
4. Turn on the player. Once the player is fully started, open a web browser and enter the following URL in the address bar: http://ap4xx-123456. Do not use the HTTPS prefix, use only HTTP.
5. The first connection page appears.
6. Follow the section First Connection.

Your AP420 player is now ready to be used.

Connecting Your Player with a Static IP

This mode allows you to connect the AP420 player directly to a computer without a DHCP server, ideal for testing or isolated installations. It allows you to manually assign a fixed address to your player to simplify its access and integration into an existing installation.

1. Note the serial number located under the player (format: AP4xx-123456).
2. Connect the player directly to your computer's Ethernet interface.
3. Configure your computer's Ethernet interface with:
   • IPv4 address: 169.254.0.1
   • Gateway: leave blank
   • IPv4 mask: 255.255.0.0 (or prefix 16)
4. Turn on the player.
5. Once the player is started, open a browser and enter the address: http://169.254.128.1
   → Note: Use http without the "s".
6. If this address is not available (the player dynamically assigns an IP in the range 169.254.128.1 to 169.254.128.254), use a tool like Angry IP Scanner to find the active address.
7. The first connection page appears.
8. If the login page does not appear, please disable your computer's Wi-Fi and reload the browser page.
9. Follow the procedure First Connection.
