Choosing Storage for Your AP420 Audio Player

Modified on Thu, 23 Jul at 5:14 PM

Before importing content or scheduling music, it is necessary to choose the storage device where your files and programs will be saved.

Choosing Storage

The internal storage (3.7 GB) is selected by default. This is the storage where media and programs are saved.

If your project requires more space, insert a microSD card or a USB drive and select the correct device in Main Settings > Storage.

Note: Only Sandisk and Samsung removable storage devices should be used with our range of players to ensure the best reliability.

Advantages of using removable storage:

  • Larger memory size.
  • The entire audio project is stored on the removable storage, so you can unplug it and plug it into another player to use it immediately.

In this case, you must select the correct storage device from microSD / Front USB / Rear USB 1 / Rear USB 2. Once the storage is selected, information about the storage is displayed.

Click Save to validate this storage and update the web interface with the content, calendar, and storage.

You can also format the storage using the Format button.

Info: When you select an external storage device, the player suggests formatting the memory. We strongly recommend formatting the memory. The player will format it as Ext4, which offers the best reliability. Other formats carry an increased risk of content corruption during updates.

Note: Projects can only be created and updated through the player's web interface.
