Preparing and formatting the storage medium

The EVP380 can read content from its internal memory, a micro-SD card, or a USB drive. It is recommended to use reliable branded media to avoid reading errors.

The media must be formatted in a file system compatible with the controller. Once the media is ready, you can copy your files to it, respecting the structure defined by the controller's folders.

To operate the EVP380 controller, you can use the 4GB internal memory or choose a removable media such as:

• A memory card of type SD / SDHC,
• A USB drive.

The media contains all the useful data for its operation: logical folders, audio, video, or image files, as well as optional files such as:

• The scheduled programming file Scheduler,
• The web page indexing file web-config.json.

Tip: Select quality hardware from manufacturers like SanDisk. Avoid media from the manufacturer Transcend.

Initial Preparation of Removable Storage Media

New SD / SDHC cards or USB drives are generally already formatted in FAT or FAT32. It is recommended to reformat them by choosing the FAT32, exFAT, or NTFS format.

Updating Content on Removable Storage Media

To update the content of the SD card or USB drive, follow these steps:

1. Remove the storage media (SD card or USB drive) from the controller.
2. Connect the media to a computer.
3. Copy, rename, or delete the necessary files and folders, according to the instructions in the chapter Controlling the Controller with Folders and Files.
4. Remove the media using the computer's ejection procedure.
5. Insert the media into the controller.

Updating Content from the Network

By connecting to the controller's admin console, you can directly access the memory spaces of the connected media and internal memory to create or deposit your content.

Default Credentials: admin / password

Updating Content from the Wavespark Server

The Wavespark service (SaaS mode) allows you to pair your controllers (VP320, VP330, EVP380), control their operation, and update content. The organization of content is identical to that of a controller.

To pair the controller with the service:

• Select the Wavespark menu in System Settings.
• Or log in to the admin console (see Advanced Configuration).
