Overview

The My Music Player and My Music Player LE are background music players designed to play WAV/MP3 audio files from local storage devices, as well as internet radio streams. The My Music Player also supports playback from an external audio source.

Both players can automatically play large collections of audio files without repetition. Playback can start at power-on, follow a schedule or be controlled remotely through the web interface. The My Music Player can also be controlled via RS-232.

Both models offer several online and offline options for updating content.

The My Music Player and My Music Player LE are suitable for background music playback in public venues such as shops, hotels, waiting rooms, bars and car parks.

Features

Playback

The players support the following types of content and playback sources:

  • Audio and music content
  • Messages and advertising announcements
  • Playlists
  • Internet radio
  • External audio sources (My Music Player only)

Supported file formats include WAV, MP3, encrypted MP3 and M3U.

Internet radio monitoring and fallback playback

If the internet radio stream is interrupted or lost, the player plays predefined fallback audio content from the local storage device to prevent silence. Internet radio playback resumes when the stream is restored.

Scheduled playback

The Scheduler software allows you to schedule playback of a specified audio source, stop or resume playback, and change the volume at a specific date and time.

AutoPlay at power-on

Several playback modes are available at power-on to suit different applications. The AutoPlay function can be configured or disabled.

Storage devices

  • My Music Player LE: a USB flash drive connected to the rear panel provides storage for audio content and schedules.
  • My Music Player: storage options include a USB flash drive or SD card connected to the front panel, or an internally connected USB flash drive or SSD with an adapter.

Audio inputs and outputs

  • My Music Player: balanced stereo output (XLR), unbalanced stereo output (RCA) and unbalanced stereo input (RCA).
  • My Music Player LE: unbalanced stereo output (RCA) and amplified stereo output (removable terminal block).

Network services

Both models include Ethernet services for remote control, configuration and content updates: a web server, an FTP server and client, a Samba server and an NTP client.

Flexible content updates

The My Music Player range offers several ways to update music programming, messages, announcements and schedules, depending on the installation location, available connections and required update frequency.

Available functions include running copy scripts, file synchronization, and updates via FTP or Samba.

RS-232 serial control (My Music Player only)

The My Music Player can be controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC), a computer or a remote control via its RS-232 serial connection.
