The player's logic and functionality are defined by an internal program called firmware. This program may be updated to add new features, change how the player operates, or fix issues.
The firmware can be updated or replaced by following the steps below.
Firmware Update Procedure
- Download the firmware from the EventPlayer mkII support page.
- Format your SD/SDHC card using the FAT32 file system.
- Copy the EVENT.bin file to the root directory of the microSD card.
- Safely eject the microSD card using your operating system's eject function.
- Turn off the EventPlayer mkII.
- Insert the microSD card into the player and switch it on. Wait until the activity LED on the front panel turns green.
- The firmware update is complete. You can now switch off the player and remove the microSD card.
Note: Firmware updates must be performed using a microSD memory card. Firmware updates via the player's USB port (USB flash drive) are not supported.
