Reminder of safety instructions to follow before use and during handling of the player.

CE Marking

The CE marking is located on the nameplate, on the rear of the device. It certifies the device's compliance with the Low Voltage Directive according to the European standard EN 55022, as well as with the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 61000-4-x.

General Information

• The user manual is an integral part of the product. It must always be kept in the immediate vicinity of the device. Correct and compliant use of the product implies strict adherence to the instructions contained in this manual.
  In case of resale of the equipment, the user manual must be passed on to the successor. Staff must receive instructions regarding the correct use of the device.
• Only the use of original parts guarantees perfect safety for the user and correct operation of the device. Furthermore, only the accessories mentioned in the technical documentation or explicitly approved by the manufacturer must be used. If accessories or consumables from other brands are used, the manufacturer cannot guarantee correct and safe operation.
• Damage caused by the use of accessories or consumables from other brands does not entitle to any benefits under the warranty.
• The manufacturer considers itself responsible for the safety, reliability, and functionality of the product only to the extent that assembly, adjustments, modifications, extensions, and repairs have been carried out by the manufacturer or a company authorized by the manufacturer, and if the device is used in accordance with the instructions contained in this manual.
• The player complies with the technical safety standards in force at the time of printing. All rights reserved for electrical diagrams, procedures, names, and devices mentioned.
• Any reproduction, even partial, of the technical documentation is prohibited without written permission from Waves System.

General Safety Instructions

This device left our facilities in perfect working condition. To preserve these conditions, ensure its safety, and avoid any risk of bodily injury, the user must imperatively follow the safety instructions and read the Attention! messages included in this manual. This device, manufactured by Waves System, is designed to practically exclude any risk when used in accordance with its intended purpose.

For safety reasons, we nevertheless wish to remind you of the following instructions:

• Use the device in compliance with local legislation and regulations. Any modification or transformation of the device automatically results in the loss of approval. The commissioning of modified devices is subject to a penal sanction. In the interest of work safety, the operator and the user are responsible for complying with the regulations.
• Keep the original packaging for possible return shipment of the product. Also, ensure it is kept out of the reach of children. Only this original packaging guarantees optimal protection of the product during transport. If a return shipment of the product is necessary during the warranty period, Waves System does not guarantee damage occurring during transport and attributable to defective packaging.
• This device is for playing audio and video files. It should only be used by persons whose training or knowledge guarantees correct handling.
• Before each use, the user must verify that the device is in perfect working condition.
• This product must not be used in premises where there is a risk of explosion. Furthermore, the device must not be used in an atmosphere that promotes combustion or in a humid, excessively hot, or cold place.

Safety Instructions Against Risks from Electric Currents

• The power supply must be connected to a grounded outlet or a European outlet installed according to regulations.
• Primary power disconnection device: the power plug serves as the primary power disconnection device; it must be easily accessible.
• Power supply voltage: 12V DC - 2 A
• Before plugging in the device, verify that the voltage and frequency indicated on the device match those of the network.
• Check before commissioning that the device and cables are not damaged. Damaged cables and connections must be replaced immediately.
• Never allow power cords to come into contact with other cables. Handle the power cable as well as all cables connected to the mains with extreme caution.
• Always plug in the plug last. Make sure the on/off switch is in the 'off' position before connecting the device to the mains. The power outlet must remain accessible after installation.
• Check the device and its power cable from time to time. Unplug from the network when you are not using the device or for maintenance.
• Handle the power cord only by the plug. Never remove the plug by pulling on the power cord.
• Electrical connections, repairs, and maintenance must be carried out by qualified persons.
• Do not turn the device on and off in a very short period; this would reduce the lifespan of the equipment.

Conditions of Use

• This product is intended for indoor use only.
• The device must be fixed at a height lower than 2m from the ground.
• If the device is exposed to very large temperature fluctuations (e.g., after transport), do not plug it in immediately. The condensation that could form inside the device could damage it. Allow the device to reach room temperature before plugging it in.
• Do not shake the device; avoid sudden movements during its installation or handling.
• When choosing the installation location for the player, ensure that it is not exposed to a large source of heat, humidity, or dust. No cable should drag on the floor. You would endanger your safety and that of others.
